Barack Obama comes to No10

The PM with Barack ObamaForeign Policy issues, including Iraq and the Middle East, were high on the agenda this morning as US Presidential nominee Barack Obama met with Gordon Brown.

Mr Obama is on a worldwide tour that has taken him to Iraq and Israel, and the two men compared notes on their respective visits to the region.

They then took a walk in the Downing Street back garden and then horseguards, and continued their discussions upstairs in the Number 10 state rooms.

A Downing Street spokesman said the talks were “warm and engaging”.
