The Prime Minister met the young nominees for the Spirit of London Awards at Downing Street today.

The awards, which take place tomorrow, are open to young people who work together to make their local communities better places.
Home Secretary Alan Johnson was on the judging panel which included social entrepreneur Tim Campbell, Olympic athlete Christine Ohoruogu and singer Leona Lewis.
Tomorrow night’s show will be hosted by R&B singer Lemar and actress Brooke Kinsella. Speech Debelle, winner of the 2009 Mercury Music Prize, and X Factor star Alexandra Burke will both perform at the event.
