Re-appointment of Richard Haythornthwaite to National Museum of Science and Industry

The Prime Minister has re-appointed Mr Richard Haythornthwaite to the Board of the National Museum of Science and Industry for a period of 4 years from 6 June 2006.

Biographical Details

Mr Richard Haythornthwaite is a managing director of Star Capital Partners. He was previously Chief Executive of Invensys from 2001 to 2005 and Blue Circle Industries from 1999 to 2001 after having spent 20 years in the oil and gas sector with BP and Premier Oil. He is a non-executive director of ICI, Chair of the Better Regulation Commission, Chair of the Almeida Theatre, Chair of the Tate Gallery Corporate Advisory Group and a Board Member of the British Council.

Mr Haythornthwaite has not been involved in any political activity in the past 5 years.
