The Prime Minister has welcomed a new report on Scottish devolution that recommends greater financial responsibility for the Scottish Parliament.

“We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to legislate, on the grounds of health and safety and in line with the laws already in place in Scotland and Northern Ireland, for a maximum class of 20 at KS3 and 18 at KS4 to ensure the safe and effective teaching of design and technology in secondary schools in England and Wales.”

Her Majesty The Queen has approved the appointment of Hamish Macleod of Dumfries as a non-executive Forestry Commissioner for Scotland and the re-appointment of Dr Olutayo Adebowale, both appointments are for a term of three years from 1 April 2009.

The Prime Minister and the Cabinet have visited Glasgow today to hold the first ever UK Cabinet meeting in the city.

“We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to require that any Minister of the Crown, or member of the Westminster Union Parliament, who has signed the Scottish Claim of Right be asked to renounce their pledge which requires that in all their actions and deliberations the interests of the Scottish people shall be paramount.”
