Claire Perry appointment

Claire Perry is appointed as Prime Minister's adviser on preventing the commercialisation and sexualisation of childhood.

The Prime Minister has appointed Claire Perry his adviser on preventing the commercialisation and sexualisation of childhood.

Background

Claire has been a passionate campaigner on these issues and will advise Ministers on driving forward implementation of our policies in this area, such as our online policy and the recommendations in Reg Bailey’s report “Letting Children be Children”.

She will be working with relevant organisations to advise Ministers on implementation of the Government’s proposals.

She will report to the PM and relevant Ministers.

The role is unpaid.
