Tony Blair delivered the sixth in his series of keynote speeches about Britain in the 21st century in Plymouth. This time the subject was defence. The PM's speech looked at the kind of threats Britain will face in the future and the forces we will need to deal with them.

About the expert
Adam Roberts has been the Montague Burton Professor of International Relations at Oxford University, and Fellow of Balliol College, since 1986.
