Gordon Brown has reiterated his call for striking postal workers to return to work and abandon their current programme of industrial action.
Speaking in Parliament during PMQs, Mr Brown said there was "no justification" for the strikes and that the dispute between workers and management "has got to be settled".
The second 48-hour strike ended this morning with further walkouts scheduled for 15 and 19 October. Talks betweeen Royal Mail and representatives from the Communications Workers Union broke down on Monday.
