PM meets ANC leader Jacob Zuma

Gordon Brown meets with ANC President Jacob Zuma 23 April 2008; Crown copyrightGordon Brown has met the President of the African National Congress (ANC), Jacob Zuma, in Downing Street.

The Prime Minister and Mr Zuma discussed a number of issues currently affecting Africa including: helping Africa achieve the UN Millenium Development Goals (MDGs); climate change and recent global food shortages and price inflation.

Gordon Brown and Mr Zuma also discussed the situation in Zimbabwe following recent elections.

Mr Zuma was made President of South Africa's ANC party in January 2008.
