The Prime Minister held his regular monthly press conference, accompaniied by Chancellor Alistair Darling, in Downing Street at 11:00 GMT today.

Questions centered on Northern Rock following yesterday's announcement that the troubled bank is to be placed in temporary public ownership. There were also questions on the current events in Kosovo and the ongoing crisis in Darfur.
